Arrival

After meeting at the cable car station and riding up the mountain with the Firstbahn, we start the tour.

Ascent
2 - 3 hrs

We briefly shoulder the skis, follow the hiking trail towards Bachalpsee, and then put on the skins. Step by step, we ascend over gently rising areas and short steep sections. The track leads us through the winter silence, while the valley behind us becomes smaller. After a traverse, we reach the saddle. It's worth taking a look down to Grindelwald and ahead to where Reeti now reveals itself in all its glory. The final ascent demands strength once more: a few kick turns, a short ridge section, and then we stand at the summit.

Summit

The panorama? Impressive. The distinctive peaks of the Bernese Alps line up, while the shadows of clouds drift over the slopes. We enjoy a small refreshment and prepare for the long descent.

Descent
1 - 2 hrs

First, a few wide turns over the open slope, then we weave through gently rolling terrain to Bachläger. Here, a delightful forest descent awaits, taking us to Waldspitz. Before the final descent to Grindelwald, it's worth stopping for a hot coffee at the mountain restaurant, before gliding down the last meters into the valley.

Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.

Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
