Meeting point

Before the course begins, all participants meet at the OUTDOOR Base in Interlaken for check-in. Personal belongings can be stored in the locker room before the group starts with the instructor in the ORBIT climbing gym. After the welcome, the equipment is adjusted to ensure everyone can climb safely.

Warm-up & First Climbing Exercises

Movement is key in climbing. That's why the kids start with a playful warm-up that also trains strength and coordination. Then they tackle the first easy routes to get a feel for the wall.

Technique & Safety – Learn Step by Step

During the course, children learn how to move efficiently, grip correctly, and step safely. This also includes an introduction to basic safety techniques. With regular sessions, they can continuously improve their skills.

Climbing Together & Overcoming Challenges

What makes this course special is the shared learning experience. The kids climb in fixed groups and support each other. They set goals, try out new techniques, and develop confidence in their abilities.

Course Completion & Gecko Award

After 11 sessions, the children have not only learned a lot but also had a great time. At the end, each child receives the Gecko Award: a small recognition of their progress.

Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.

Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
