How difficult is the snowshoe hike?

The hike lasts around one hour and runs through snowy forests with some uphill sections. It's not flat all the way, which sometimes surprises guests. You need normal base fitness: if you walk or hike regularly, you'll be fine. Snowshoeing in deep snow is actually easier than regular walking, because you don't sink in. The movement is just a bit wider than usual. For climbs, you use a small heel lift on the snowshoes, which makes uphill walking much easier. For descents, a relaxed gliding step works well. Your guide sets the pace based on the slowest person in the group, and there are breaks along the way for breathing and photos.
