How do you ride a rail on a snowboard?

Rails are narrow metal bars, usually round or rectangular, that you slide on with your snowboard. Unlike boxes, rails have less surface, more precision, higher risk of falling.

In the course, we only start rails once you are confident on boxes. Approach straight, ollie onto the rail, and land in a 50-50 or slight slide. Key points are to maintain a flat base, pressure on both legs, no twisting.

We begin with low rails, where the entry is flat and safe. You learn how to keep the board steady, maintain balance, and exit the rail in a controlled landing.

Rails require focus, technique, and repetition. The feeling of sliding through completely for the first time is unbeatable.
