A 180° is a classic beginner trick. You start in regular stance, jump with an Ollie, rotate a half turn in the air. In a frontside 180, you see the landing during the rotation. In a backside 180, you rotate away from the slope. The rotation comes from upper body movement, legs follow. It is important that you have a clean takeoff, look in rotation direction, and bend knees softly when landing. After landing, continue riding switch, practice this separately beforehand. The 180° is a milestone in freestyle courses. You learn body tension, line of sight, and balance in the air. Many other tricks build on this move.
