Arrival and gearing up
Start at the base or a meeting point near the river. Meet the guides. Receive equipment, including: wetsuit, life jacket, helmet, paddle. You will then change into your gear, any adjustments to sizing can be made at the base. Then move to the river entry point.
Safety first
Before boarding, a detailed safety briefing. Guides explain:
- How to paddle.
- How to behave in water.
- What to do in case of a fall
- Commands used in the boat.
Into the water, out of the comfort zone
First meters for getting used to the boat. Learn commands, feel the team. Then rapids arrive, sometimes calm, sometimes challenging. Depending on the river expect:
- Moderate to strong currents.
- Tight turns.
- Powerful waves and rolls.
Finish reached, but not over yet
Tour lasts 1.5 to 3 hours. Often a short jump into the water or glide on a calm section. Then return to the base.
