What are jump variations in snowboarding?

Once you master a straight jump, you can move on to variations such as shiftys, tweaks, or nose grabs. These are small but visible movements. In a shifty, you twist the board slightly in the air; in a tweak, you extend one leg; in a nose grab, you pull the nose up.

These movements add playfulness and life to your jumps. They require body tension, spatial awareness, and a bit of courage to break from a stable stance.

In the course, we teach simple variations on small kickers. It is not about difficulty, but creativity. You learn to shape your jump consciously, feel the timing, and develop your style.

Once you master the basics, variations give you a lot of freedom. It is also fun to try new ideas together.
