Nose and tail turns are exercises on the slope where you shift your weight entirely onto one foot. In a nose turn, you press the front foot into the snow, lift the tail, rotate slightly on the nose. In a tail turn, it works the opposite way. These tricks look playful and require good balance. You usually start from a stand: lift the board, rotate briefly. Later, try it while riding slowly. Often, a small rotational impulse develops. This helps connect rotation and press technique. In competitions, this is called buttering. In the course, it is good preparation for stylish park tricks. It is also simply fun to move the board creatively.
