What are switch jumps in snowboarding?

Topics

Switch jumps mean taking off on your non-dominant foot forward, jump, and execute the rotation. For example, a switch frontside 180° means to ride fakie, rotate 180°, and land normal.

This requires a lot of feel. The approach is less stable, and the takeoff motion feels unfamiliar. In the course, we help you get used to it step by step - starting with small switch straight jumps, then simple rotations.

You need solid switch riding, clear focus, and the confidence to try new movements. Switch jumps greatly expand your trick repertoire, especially if you later want to learn 360° or switch grabs.

They are also a lot of fun when landed successfully. There is no pressure, pure supported progress step by step, and we guide you safely through the rotation.
