What is a boardslide in snowboarding?

The boardslide is one of the most popular slides on a box. Approach the obstacle at an angle, pop slightly, and rotate your board 90° so it sits sideways on the box.
You need good balance, solid edge control, and the confidence to ride sideways. Keep a low stance, with weight slightly toward the tail. Look toward the landing, not down.
In the course, we first practice the technique on the ground. Then we repeat the movement next to the box. Only once you understand the motion do we try it on a small, flat box. You learn how your body moves, how to control the board, and how to ride off cleanly.
A boardslide is stylish, versatile, and a major milestone on the way to becoming a rail rider.
