What is a slide on a box?

In a slide, for example a boardslide, you approach the box, pop slightly, rotate your skis perpendicular to the box, and land with flat skis on the edge. You look either in the direction of travel or backward. This requires balance and control because you must avoid catching an edge.

We start with simple boxes, first practicing the pop with rotation, then the sideways slide, and finally the landing. The slide is a classic freestyle move that you will land reliably after some practice.
