You need slide-outs or reverts when, for example, you land a 180° fakie but want to continue riding normally. To complete the movement, you reduce pressure, slightly edge, let the board slide around 180° with your feet. It happens smoothly, without a jump. You should rotate the board in control, avoid abrupt movement, or you tip over. Reverts also help finish incomplete rotations stylishly. You can improve flow, show tricks are not just done but exited with control. In the course, we use slide-outs as transitions between moves or as clean landing corrections. Those who master them ride more safely and look smoother.
