What is canyoning?

A typical tour looks like this:
- Entry at the top of the gorge.
- Abseiling along waterfalls.
- Sliding over smooth rocks.
- Jumping from rock ledges into water (only where deep enough).
- Swimming through pools and narrow channels.
- Climbing over rocks and tight spots.
All happens in a small group with a guide. Knows the canyon, checks water level, weather, exit options. Secures, gives clear instructions, keeps overview – so you focus fully on the moment.
Season usually starts in May. Snowmelt brings enough water, temperatures pleasant. End of September, often too cold or dry. Equipment stays in storage.
Canyoning is movement, nature, teamwork in close space. Access places rarely seen, such as winding canyons, crystal pools, high waterfalls. Feel the water, rocks, and height.
Not about performance, but experience. From beginning to end, you are filled with adrenaline and admiration for the surrounding nature.
