Closed shoes with grippy soles are required. Trainers, hiking shoes or trail-running shoes all work well. Avoid shoes with smooth soles, brand-new shoes (risk of blisters) and high shoes above the ankle, as the leg straps of the harness can become tight. At the Rigi Rope Park grippy soles are especially important because the wooden platforms get slippery when wet. Sandals, flip-flops and open shoes are not permitted in any of the three parks.
