Bernese Oberland (Interlaken area):
Around Interlaken there are many variants. The area is known as “Adventure Capital of Europe.”

  • Saxeten Canyon: Perfect for beginners. Short abseils, jumps, slides.
  • Grimsel: For experienced. Entry with 50 meter abseil. Technically demanding.
  • Chli Schliere: Challenging. Long tour, high jumps, fast slides, lots of action.

Ticino (Southern Switzerland):
Granite, emerald pools, warm climate. Ticino is pure canyoning bliss.

  • Boggera, Val Grande: Good for beginners, visually impressive.
  • Iragna: 40 meter abseil section.
  • Lodrino: One of Europe’s most technical gorges.

Graubünden:

  • Viamala: Deeply cut, lots of water, little rope. More swimming.
  • Around Flims, Laax, Engadin there are exciting tours with strong mountain scenery.

Valais & Central Switzerland:

  • Massa Gorge (near Brig): Formerly accessible only to crystal seekers. Today you can enjoy a guided tour along steep glacier flanks.
  • Fallenbach (SG): In the green jungle of Eastern Switzerland.
  • Verzasca Valley and Maggia Valley: Offer easy and family-friendly variants. Ideal for first attempts.

Canyoning in Switzerland shows the Alps from the inside. Each region offers different attractions. From warm granite in the south to cold glacier waters in Valais.
