Itinerary
Meeting pointsThe course begins at the OUTDOOR Base in Interlaken with a brief check-in. You can store your personal belongings in the locker room before meeting your instructor inside the ORBIT climbing gym. They will provide you with your equipment: climbing shoes, harness, and belay device, as well as explain the essentials of climbing.
The course starts with bouldering: climbing at jumping height without a rope, ideal for getting a feel for the wall. Then, you'll move on to self-belaying devices. Here, you'll learn how to secure yourself independently. Finally, you will make your first attempts at toprope climbing with the support of your instructor.
After the introduction, it is time to get hands-on: you will try different routes, receive tips on technique and posture, and enjoy your own progress. Safety is the top priority, but fun is also guaranteed.
After two hours of training, the course concludes. You will return your equipment, but if you're keen, you can continue bouldering independently. This gives you the chance to practice what you just learned.
