Introduction

After the welcome, you will receive your snowshoes, warm hiking boots, and poles. The guides will give you an introduction to handling the equipment and explain what to expect along the way. Once everyone is ready, it's off to the starting point of the hike – just a short transfer, and you'll be right in the midst of winter.

Short Drive to Starting Point
10 mins

Transportation to the starting point of the tour is included. Depending on the weather and route, the drive takes only a few minutes. The route leads through the valley with initial views of the surrounding peaks before you start at a quiet spot outside of Grindelwald.

Snowshoe Tour

The snowshoe hike begins on a wide path with a gentle ascent. Shortly after, the landscape opens up. You feel the crisp winter air, hear the crunch under your feet, and see the surrounding peaks rising before you.

The path takes you through snowy forests and wide snowfields until you reach a viewpoint after about an hour, offering a view of the famous Eiger North Face. It's worth pausing here.

The return path leads you over gently descending trails back towards the valley. Thanks to the snowshoes, you move safely and effortlessly, even through deeper snow.
