School Groups at Ropes Park Interlaken

What We Organise for Your Group
You register the group and hand in the consent forms. We take care of everything else.
Our team welcomes you at the counter, fits everyone with a climbing harness, helmet, and gloves, and explains the safety system. After the practice course (mandatory for all), students climb independently on up to 14 courses of varying difficulty.
- Personal briefing for the entire group
- Full equipment: climbing harness, helmet, gloves
- Speedrunner safety system: students are continuously secured, unhooking is not possible
- Locker in the basement for the group's belongings
- BBQ and picnic area in the forest with free firewood and seating (not reservable)
- Additional shaded spots in the park for breaks
- Snacks and drinks at the reception
How the Day Works
- Check in at the counter, hand in consent form, confirm final group size and payment method
- Store belongings in the locker (the teacher receives the key and returns it before leaving)
- Our team distributes equipment and gives a safety briefing
- Complete the practice course (mandatory for everyone)
- Individual climbing on the courses
- Return equipment, collect belongings, hand back the key
Duration: at least 2 hours recommended
What to bring: Sporty clothing, closed shoes, rain protection. We provide everything else.
Requirements
Maximum weight: 120 kg
Minimum height: 110 cm (The number of accessible courses depends on body height)
- 1.40 m and above: all 14 courses
- 1.20–1.40 m: 9 courses
- 1.10–1.20 m: 4 courses, an adult must accompany 1:1
Under 12: an adult must accompany while climbing
Under 16: an adult must be present on site (does not need to climb)
Under 18: signed consent form from a parent or legal guardian required. Please fill in beforehand and bring along. If forms are missing, teachers can fill in blank forms on site and sign for the minors.
Weather
We are open daily in almost any weather, except in heavy rain, strong wind, or thunderstorms. If we need to close, we will let you know as early as possible.
Bad Weather? Indoor Rope Park Grindelwald!
When outdoor rope parks close due to rain, wind, or thunderstorms, your trip can still go ahead: the Indoor Rope Park at the Grindelwald Sports Centre.
5 courses with 40 climbing elements, dry and sheltered in any weather. School price: CHF 21 per person. Duration: approx. 1.5–2.5 hours. For groups of 10 or more, we can open the indoor rope park outside regular hours by arrangement.

Getting Here
The ropes park is in the forest between the Unspunnen meadow and the road to the Heimwehfluh funicular, about 15 minutes on foot from Interlaken West station.

By public transport: Train or bus to Interlaken West station, then walk or take the bus towards Heimwehfluhbahn. Follow the signs to "Seilpark".
Parking: Paid parking available on site.

Hiking Tips around Interlaken Rope Park
Ringweg Rugen
Interlaken West Bahnhof → Seilpark Interlaken
Der Ringweg am KIeinen Rugen ist eine einfache, gut beschilderte Rundwanderung. Unterwegs warten immer wieder wunderschöne Aussichtspunkte mit abwechslungsreichen Ausblicken auf den Thunersee oder die imposanten Berner Alpen mit Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau auf euch.
Ringweg plus Hohrugen
Interlaken West Bahnhof → Seilpark Interlaken
Den Schildern in Richtung Rugen Ringweg folgend, wandert ihr bis kurz vor die Trinkhalle oberhalb des Seilparks Interlaken. Ein gut ausgebauter Weg führt von hier bergauf bis zum Hohrugen. Unterwegs könnt ihr immer wieder kleine Pausen einlegen, um das beeindruckende Lauterbrunnental und das einmalige Bergpanorama zu bestaunen.
Heimwehfluh Rundweg
Interlaken West Bahnhof → Seilpark Interlaken
Die gut beschilderte Wanderung führt euch vom Bahnhof Interlaken West via Seilpark Interlaken hinauf zur Heimwehfluh. Dort warten das Panoramarestaurant, der Aussichtsturm und ein Spielplatz auf euch. Ob auf der Rutschbahn, der Schaukel oder im Hamster-Laufrad, langweilig wird es nicht. Über den gut beschilderten Weg gelangt ihr anschliessend zurück zum Seilpark.
Ruine Unspunnen from Wilderswil
Interlaken West Bahnhof → Seilpark Interlaken
Ausgangspunkt für diese Wanderung ist der Bahnhof Wilderswil. Durch den historischen Dorfkern von Wilderswil führt der Weg leicht bergauf zum Tellweg. Von hier aus gelangt ihr über den Wanderweg parallel zum Dorf zur mittelalterlichen Burgruine Unspunnen. Der Seilpark ist ab hier in wenigen Minuten erreichbar.
