Secure glacier techniques start with knowledge and practice. In 2 intensive days, you will learn all the essentials: crampon technique, crevasse rescue, rope handling, and ice climbing. Train realistically with experienced mountain guides for more safety and confidence on your tours.

The mountain guide provides feedback during the course and reflects on areas where you can already act independently and where experience is still needed. This gives you a realistic assessment of your skills for future tours.

Certificate: Advanced Ice Module

After completing the two-day course, participants receive a certificate. This confirms successful participation in the Advanced Ice Module course at the Tierbergli Hut, but is intended as a keepsake and is not an official document.

Itinerary

Meeting points
Day1
Day 1: Glacier Basics
We meet at the Hotel Steingletscher, check the equipment, and ascend together to the Tierbergli Hut. After a short break, we dive right in: crampon technique on ice and rock, knot tying, and equipment knowledge. We review important basics to prepare you safely for the glacier. The evening provides time to clarify questions and consolidate new insights.
Day2
Day 2: Crevasse Rescue and Anchors
The day starts with a short tour on the glacier. Here you put theory into practice: pulley technique for crevasse rescue, self-rescue with Prusik, and ice screw anchors. Every move is practiced until perfected. In the afternoon, we descend back to the valley with more know-how and experience for your next alpine adventures.
