Overview

Recommended for: Anyone who wants shared moments that feel real.

Work together to build your own rope bridge across the glacier gorge in Grindelwald.

One gorge. One team. And one goal: Your own bridge. Under guidance, a crossing over the chasm is created step by step from ropes. You work together to rig the bridge, walk across it, and grow beyond your limits in the process. Can be combined with climbing or abseiling, depending on the group and courage level.

Itinerary

Meeting points
Meeting Point

We will pick you up at the agreed meeting point and head together on foot or by bus to the glacier Canyon.

Access to the Gorge
30 mins

A short walk takes you above the gorge. This is where the purpose of the adventure becomes clear: teamwork, courage, and a common goal. The mountain guides will present the program and give you an introduction to the process.

Building the Rope Bridge
2 hrs

Now it’s time for action. You’re given the materials and guidance, and then the work begins. Step by step, a bridge made of ropes comes together over the gorge. Every contribution matters, and everyone plays their part. Once the bridge is secure, the tension is set and the big moment arrives: who will cross first?

Break

After all the action, it is time for a snack or drink from your backpack or the restaurant. Afterwards, a visit to the fascinating glacier gorge is recommended. On the secured walkway, you experience the scene from below. Imposing, cool, and truly impressive.

Return & Conclusion

After passing through the gorge or a short rest, we head back to the meeting point.

Weather info

General weather info

Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.

Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.

Activity-specific weather info

Our events can be affected by weather conditions; however, it is difficult to predict exactly how an event will be impacted until closer to the event day. We monitor conditions carefully to ensure all activities remain within our safety limits, and bad weather does not necessarily mean a cancellation.

If we are unable to run an event as planned, we will do our best to adjust the program to offer a similar experience or to find an alternative date. If neither option is possible, we will provide a full refund.
