Itinerary

Meeting points
Arrival

The tour begins in the late afternoon at the Outdoor Shop & Café in Grindelwald. We gather in a cozy group, discuss the itinerary, and gear up for the upcoming night hike. A minibus takes us to the Hotel Wetterhorn near Obere Gletscher.

Tour

We strap on the snowshoes and step into the silence of the snow-covered mountains. The first steps in deep snow take some getting used to, but soon we find our rhythm. The path leads us through quiet forests and across open clearings. The full moon bathes the landscape in a gentle light as we listen to the crunch of our snowshoes in the snow. Without artificial lighting, the night reveals its own unique atmosphere.

Break

About halfway through the tour, we take a break. A steaming cup of mulled wine warms our hands as we gaze over the nighttime panorama. Far below, the lights of the valley sparkle, while above us the stars shine brightly.

Return

With renewed energy, we continue our journey back to the starting point. Afterwards, the minibus takes us back to the village, where we arrive around 21:00.

Weather info

General weather info

Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.

Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
