The Breithorn is the ideal 4000-meter peak for ski tourers. Starting from the Klein Matterhorn, you find yourself in the midst of a gigantic glacier landscape. A moderate ascent takes you to the summit before the long descent to Zermatt begins. A day tour in the high mountains with an incomparable panorama.
Itinerary
Meeting pointsAfter meeting in Zermatt, we take the cable car together to the Klein Matterhorn. Here, we are already surrounded by the impressive world of 4000-meter peaks.
We start with a gentle ascent over the Breithorn plateau. The thin air is quickly noticeable, so we proceed at a calm pace. The path to the summit ridge is technically easy but challenging due to its altitude.
At the highest point, we are rewarded with a spectacular panoramic view: Monte Rosa, Matterhorn, Weisshorn: the giants of the Alps within reach.
After a short break, the long descent follows. First, we ski back over the plateau, then continue on the piste down to the valley in Zermatt. A tour with a short ascent and an even longer descent comes to an end.

General weather info
Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.
Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
