Itinerary

Meeting points
Day1
Day 1: Ascent to Grünhornlücke
From the Jungfraujoch, descend to Konkordiaplatz, right in the heart of the Bernese Alps. The glacier landscape is wide and impressive. Then comes the first climb: over the Grüneggfirn to the Grünhornlücke, a high alpine pass with panoramic views of the surrounding glacier peaks. The last ski descent of the day followed by a short re ascent takes us to the Finsteraarhorn Hut at 3,048 m above sea level: our base camp for the summit stage.

Day2
Day 2: Summit Ski Tour to Finsteraarhorn 4,274 m above sea level
The climb begins before sunrise. Behind the hut, it goes steeply up towards Hugisattel. Here we leave the skis and switch to crampons. The northwest ridge is exposed but on good rock: impressive climbing with views into the sheer north face. On the summit: vastness, silence, a view from the Valais to the Grisons Alps. The ski descent from Hugisattel back to the hut rewards with wide slopes and often perfect spring snow conditions.

Day3
Day 3: Upt to Bächilücke 3,382 m and ski descent to Reckingen
The last day begins skiing down to the “Rotloch”, followed by the climb up the Galmigletscher to Bächilücke. It marks one of the longest ski descents in the region over the Bächigletscher and through the Bächital: we first ski through high alpine terrain, then continue through a forest of ancient, weathered larches into the valley. After nearly 2,000 meters of descent, we end up in Reckingen, where our trip ends.

Weather info

General weather info

Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.

Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
