This ski tour takes you from the tranquil Saxeten over the Rengglipass to the Rengghorn. The ascent is demanding, but the view of Lake Brienz and the surrounding peaks is rewarding. The descent? Dreamy slopes, perfect lines. A day for those who love gaining elevation and looking back at their last turns with satisfaction in the valley.

Ascent

We start early in Saxeten and make our first tracks through the quiet Saxeten Valley. Ahead lies Alp Mittelberg, from where we head towards the Rengglipass. The landscape opens up: To the left, the secluded Suldtal comes into view, to the right, the open slopes of the Rengghorn beckon. As we gain altitude, it becomes steeper, and the final meters require strength and technique.

Summit

Once at the top, there's no rush. The view is too good: right in front of us is the Schwalmere, with the Bernese Oberland in all its glory behind it. Lake Brienz shimmers deep turquoise, and the Brienzer ridge stretches like a jagged line along the horizon.

Descent
1.5 - 2 hrs

The moment has arrived: The descent takes us over open slopes, sometimes powdery, sometimes crusty, down to Unterberg. The last turns bring us back to Saxeten, where a coffee at the Skipintli awaits us: a perfect end to a day in the mountains.

General weather info

Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.

Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
