A ski tour through untouched winter landscapes: wide slopes, long descent, summit views.

This ski tour combines a challenging ascent with a spectacular ski descent. From the Schilthorn, we ski tour to the Schwalmere before descending through untouched terrain into the Soustal and, depending on conditions, all the way to Isenfluh. Clear winter air, solitary slopes, and a true challenge in a magnificent setting.

Arrival

We start early in Stechelberg and take the cable car up to the Schilthorn.

Ascent
2.5 - 3.5 hr

From there, a short hike with skis on the backpack awaits us before we arrive at the first slope. The descent to Türliboden already gives a taste of what is to come. The climb continues moderately steep, passing Schafläger and Mära. The track steadily winds through open terrain until it becomes steeper on the final meters. We finally reach the summit of the Schwalmere at 2,777 m above sea level via the SE ridge.

Summit

Up here, we are rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view: Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau to the east and snow-covered valleys below us.

Descent
1.5 - 2.5 hr

After a short break, we remove the skins and start the ski descent into the Soustal. Initially steep, then wide, open slopes perfect for long turns. Depending on snow conditions, we can even ski all the way down to Isenfluh: 2,400 meters of descent in one go. If you can still feel your legs afterwards, you have done something wrong.

Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.

Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
