Itinerary

Meeting points
Day1
Day 1: Hut approach to Tierbergli Hut
The meeting point is at Meiringen train station. From there, we drive to Steingletscher, where the tour begins. Skins on, the first steps in the snow set the rhythm. The track to Tierbergli Hut leads us over gentle slopes and offers the first views of the Sustenhorn. After about 4 hours, we reach the hut; spectacularly located among the peaks. We spend the night here, enjoy the sunset over the mountains, and discuss the route for summit day.

Day 2: Summit Ski Tour to Sustenhorn
At dawn, we put on the skins and slowly climb higher. The first meters are flat: perfect for warming up. Soon the terrain becomes steeper, passing the Sustenlimmi, then the final meters to the summit. At the top: vastness, silence, a view of the Bernese and Uri Alps that makes every effort worthwhile. The ski descent back to Steingletscher is long and varied, with wide glacier expanses skied in enjoyable turns. Back at the starting point, only one thing remains: a final look back at the route.

General weather info

Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.

Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
