This tour takes you through snowy forests to the summit with a fantastic view of Lake Thun, the Bernese Alps, and the Swiss Plateau.

A snowshoe tour with everything you could want: tranquil forests, untouched snowy slopes, and a ridge with stunning views. The ascent leads us through varied terrain to the Gemmenalphorn, where an impressive panorama awaits. On the descent to Habkern, we enjoy the winter tranquility and take in the vastness of the Bernese Oberland.

We meet in Beatenberg and check our equipment.

Ascent
3 - 3.5 hrs

From Beatenberg, we ascend with snowshoes through snowy forests. The path leads us steadily uphill, past sunlit clearings and over gentle snowy slopes. After a few hours, we reach the ridge where the view of Lake Thun and the surrounding peaks is spectacular.

Summit

After the final climb, which requires a little more concentration, we stand on the Gemmenalphorn and the view over the vast Bernese Oberland rewards every step.

After a short break, we descend through untouched snowy landscapes towards Habkern, where the tour ends.
