The Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site
The Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site
The area around the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau and the Aletsch Glacier was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. This alpine natural landscape is characterised by its untouched beauty and includes a total of nine mountain peaks above 4000 metres. With their membership, the sponsoring communities undertake to strengthen sustainable regional development. For Outdoor, the UNESCO World Heritage area is of central importance. For years we have been accompanying our guests across the Aletsch Glacier - the longest glacier in Europe - and up to the various peaks of this unique region. The four-day trek from the Jungfraujoch to the Grimsel Pass leads through the heart of the UNESCO area with overnight stays at the Konkordia, Finsteraar and Oberaarjoch huts. Here you can experience the remoteness and vastness of the mountain world first-hand.

Unsere UNSECO Wanderungen
As a mountain sports provider, we are particularly affected by the current climatic changes. Hardly anywhere else is global warming as evident as in the alpine terrain. It is therefore important to us to raise awareness of the sensitivity of the mountain world. In cooperation with UNESCO and the municipality of Grindelwald, we offer hikes on four different themed trails in the Jungfrau region. On these day hikes - led by our mountain guides and hiking leaders - you can observe the changes in nature on-site and learn a lot of interesting facts about UNESCO. Our mountain guides and hiking leaders know exciting stories about the region and can answer many questions about flora and fauna.
