The ascent to Konkordia Hut follows a rock face via metal stairs with grating. We hike as a roped party and adjust to the slowest participants. Please bring the necessary understanding, even if you could march faster.

Day1
Day 1: From Jungfraujoch to Konkordia Hut
Our tour starts at Jungfraujoch, surrounded by eternal ice. We rope up and hike over the Jungfrau Firn to Konkordia Platz – the heart of the Aletsch Glacier. Here, four glaciers converge, and beneath our feet lies the thickest ice in Europe. The path to Konkordia Hut leads over long stairs, and at the top, we are rewarded with a breathtaking view of the endless glacier landscape and a delicious piece of cake.

Day2
Day 2: Over the Grünhornlücke to Finsteraarhorn Hut
After breakfast, we descend back onto the glacier. The ascent to Grünhornlücke challenges us but rewards with a spectacular view of the Finsteraarhorn, the highest peak in the Bernese Alps. After a short rest, we cross the Fiescher Glacier and reach the Finsteraarhorn Hut – a perfect spot to enjoy the afternoon sun.

Day3
Day 3: Over the Galmi Glacier to Oberaarjoch Hut
In the morning, we descend to Rotloch, where two glaciers meet. From here, we steadily climb along an exciting icefall to Oberaarjoch. The final meters bring us to Oberaarjoch Hut – spectacularly located on a rock band above the ice.

Day4
Day 4: Ascent of the Oberaarhorn and Descent to Grimsel Pass
Today is summit day: Early in the morning, we set off and enjoy the unique panoramic view from Oberaarhorn. After descending back to the hut, we hike along the Oberaar Glacier and reservoir to Berghaus Oberaar, where the tour ends – four days in the high mountains full of impressions.
