On February 8, Marianne and I visited the ski course of the seven Nepali mountain guides in Disentis, who were being introduced to the art of skiing and ski touring by Ervin Jacomet. Among the participants was Mingma Sherpa, an impressive twenty-time Everest summiteer.

The encounter was inspiring for everyone, and in the evening, they even organized a Nepal Market where various Nepali specialties, including the famous momos, were sold. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about the culture and skills of the Nepali mountain guides.

We are grateful for this experience!
