Itinerary
Meeting pointsThe meeting point is the parking lot at the Glacier Gorge in Grindelwald. The location is easily accessible by bus from Grindelwald station. The instructors present the schedule, address any questions, and divide the class into two groups. Equipment is checked, and the children receive a brief introduction to behavior, safety, and equipment.
The first group starts climbing on the rock near the parking lot. The instructors demonstrate basic climbing techniques, explain secure footing, handling holds and footholds, and the key procedures with the rope.
The children climb at low heights and learn how to move calmly and use the equipment correctly. Small warm-up exercises prepare hands, shoulders, and knees. Clear supervision is ensured as one instructor accompanies a maximum of six children.
Meanwhile, the second group explores the surroundings with the teacher. The Glacier Gorge offers a safe circular path with sturdy walkways and impressive rock walls. The spider web is a popular stop and provides variety. The area is well-suited for quiet breaks, nature observations, and simple games. The teacher has plenty of space to lead the group at their own pace.
After halftime, the groups switch so all children experience both parts of the offer.
After the second round, everyone meets back at the parking lot. Equipment is returned, and the instructors provide a brief recap of the experience. Right next to the Glacier Gorge is a large barbecue area, perfect for a group BBQ. Grindelwald also offers additional options for a well-rounded class day.

General weather info
Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.
Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
