Overview
The Rotstock West Ridge calls: Beautiful climbing, airy & fun passages, right next to the Eiger North Face.
The climbing tour via the West Ridge to Rotstock is perfect for anyone seeking an alpine climbing adventure. The route offers airy climbing with a magnificent view of the Eiger's west flank and a challenging crux at grade 4 awaits you. At the summit, we meet those who have ascended via the via ferrata from the other side.
Itinerary
Meeting pointsWe take the gondola to the Eigergletscher and after a short walk reach the start of the route.
The West Ridge offers varied climbing at grades 2 and 3. Sometimes we climb on the warm south side, sometimes directly on the ridge with a wide view into the valley. The crux at grade 4 requires precision and secure grip. Proudly, we reach the summit at 2,663 m above sea level.
We enjoy our lunch and the panorama of the towering trio: Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau.
The descent follows the normal route back to the train station, where we leisurely conclude the tour.

Weather info
General weather info
Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.
Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
