You'll hike along a scenic mountain path, past steep rock faces, under waterfalls, and always with a view of the Grindelwald Valley. Itinerary
Meeting pointsFrom Grindelwald, the bus takes us towards Grosse Scheidegg to the Gleckstein turnoff stop.
From here, we continue on foot, steadily uphill. We pass the old Engi station of the Wetterhorn elevator, go under the Wyssbach, and quickly gain altitude. The path winds spectacularly along steep slopes – always with a view of the Grindelwald Valley. After a final steep ascent, we reach the Glecksteinhütte at 2,317 m (7,602 ft).
Time for a break on the sun terrace with views of the surrounding peaks and the glacier. If we're lucky, we might spot ibex or marmots near the hut.
After the break, we head back down the same path to the valley, with new impressions and tired legs.

General weather info
Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.
Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
