Itinerary
Meeting pointsOur tour starts in Grindelwald, where we take a minibus to Obere Gletscher. There, we prepare our skis, attach the skins, and begin the ascent.
Our path initially leads over gentle hills, partly along the groomed piste to make the ascent more efficient. The full moon accompanies us, bathing the landscape in silver light and creating a special atmosphere. After a while, we reach the Stepfihütte: the perfect spot for a short break. Here, you get a spectacular view of the Wetterhorn, which looks even more impressive in the moonlight. We gather energy before tackling the final section. The final ascent takes us to the 2,028 m high Chiemattenhubel.
Once at the top, we enjoy the silence and the view of the Grindelwald Valley under the moonlight.
During the descent, the sparkling snow reflects the moonlight, allowing us to leave our tracks in the snow. Initially, we go over untouched slopes, then use the ski piste for the last meters back to Hotel Wetterhorn.

General weather info
Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.
Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
