The hike to Glecksteinhütte offers spectacular views. The overnight stay in the hut at 2,317 m (7,602 ft) above sea level brings pure mountain feeling, and with a bit of luck, you might spot ibexes. On the second day, the journey continues to Chrinnenhorn – an alpine hiking summit with a panoramic view. The surrounding mountains, glaciers, and a delicious piece of hut cake complete the tour.

Day 1: Ascent to Glecksteinhütte
The meeting point is in Grindelwald. First, we take the bus to the Gleckstein turnoff: A narrow, partly exposed path leads along the mountainside to Glecksteinhütte, which perches on a rocky outcrop above the valley. During the ascent, enjoy spectacular views of the Grindelwald Valley and the glacier world. At the hut, there's cake and a cozy terrace with a unique panorama. With a bit of luck, ibexes might visit in the evening.

Day2
Day 2: Ascent to Chrinnenhorn
Early in the morning, we continue. The alpine hike leads over moraines and scree fields to the summit of Chrinnenhorn. At the top, you'll be rewarded with an unparalleled view of the valley and the surrounding peaks and glaciers. After a rest, we descend to the hut and continue down to the valley. If you like, treat yourself to another piece of cake before heading back to Grindelwald.
