Day1
Day 1: Ascent to Schreckhorn Hut
We start in Grindelwald and take the gondola to Pfingstegg. From here, the path first leads to Berghaus Bäregg with views of the impressive Fiescherwand. After a short break, we climb over solitary paths to Bänisegg and further to the 'Nails'. There, ladders and rock steps await us. The final stretch to the Schreckhorn Hut leads through impressive boulder terrain with views of the glacier. Arriving at 2,527 m above sea level, we enjoy the silence of the mountain world and the cozy hut atmosphere.

Day 2: Circuit back to Grindelwald
After a hearty breakfast, we head onto the lower Grindelwald Glacier. In the middle of the ice, we feel the power of nature before crossing to the other side of the valley. Here, there are hardly any marked paths – the descent requires full concentration. After the bridge at Zäsenbergbach, we ascend again on the other side of the valley to Bäregg. With a final rest and a view of the glacier, we conclude the tour before hiking the last stretch back to Grindelwald.

Weather info

General weather info

Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.

Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
