Key info
Overview
On touring skis from high above, down to the lakeshore: this ski tour combines summit experiences with one of the most beautiful descents in the region.
Take the cable car to Grindelwald First, then ski past the frozen Bachalpsee to the summit of the Faulhorn or Gassenhorn. The descent leads through solitary slopes, deep north faces, and narrow forest passages. At the end awaits Lake Brienz: and probably the best line of the day.
Itinerary
Meeting pointsThe tour begins in Grindelwald with the cable car ride up to Grindelwald First.
On arrival the skins are mounted before setting off: a relaxed ascent to Bachalpsee, where the decision is made: Faulhorn or Gassenhorn.
No matter our decision, both options lead to a magnificent summit with views of the Wetterhorn, Schreckhorn, and Eiger.
After a short break, we begin the descent. The first turns lead through open slopes, then into the sheltered north faces at Teufenmatten: here you often find the best powder snow. A short 45-minute counter-ascent brings us to Schonegg, with a clear view of Lake Brienz.
The second descent is varied: wide slopes, narrow forest passages, then Werzisbodenalp. After a short tunnel– don't forget your headlamp–we reach Iseltwald. If the snow is sufficient, we ski right down to the shore. On arrival we return by bus to Interlaken Ost.

General weather info
Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.
Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
