Overview

Recommended for: Anyone who trades comfort for the view.

2 days, 2 peaks, 2 challenges: The Mönch and Jungfrau await you offering climbing, steep snow slopes, and spectacular views.

This ski tour takes you to two of the most famous 4000m peaks in the Alps. On the first day, we climb the Mönch via the southeast ridge, and on the second day, we tackle the Jungfrau, a climb involving snow slopes as well as rock. Good mountaineering and skiing skills are essential. In return, you experience solitary ridges, impressive glaciers, and a panorama you will never forget.

Itinerary

Meeting points
Day1
Day 1: Climb Mönch 4,107 m a.s.l.
We meet in Grindelwald and travel together to Jungfraujoch. From there, we ski up to the Mönchsjoch Hut, where our day's goal is already in sight. At the base of the Mönch, we switch to crampons and climb via the southeast ridge. The route takes us through easy climbing sections and along the exposed summit ridge, demanding our full concentration. The summit rewards us with a breathtaking view over the Bernese Alps. After descending, we end the day at the Mönchsjoch Hut.

Day2
Day 2: Climb Jungfrau 4,158 m a.s.l.
We start early from the hut and ski up to the Rottalsattel. Here, we leave the skis and continue with crampons on our feet. A steep snowfield and easy climbing lead us to the summit of the Jungfrau. The view stretches from the Aletsch Glacier on one side to the Swiss midlands on the other. After a short rest, we return the same way. Below the Rottalsattel, we switch back to skis and enjoy the ski descent down the glacier. A short uphill section brings us back to the Jungfraujoch, where our tour ends.

Weather info

General weather info

Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.

Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
