Arrival

We start early in the morning at Grindelwald Terminal and take the train to Jungfraujoch. At the tunnel exit, we step out onto the glacier.

Ascent
2.5 - 3.5 hr

The first stage takes us to the Mönchsjoch Hut in about an hour. Here we take a short break before a brief ski descent. In the glacier basin below the Walcherhorn, we put on the skins and climb to the summit at 3,693 m a.s.l. in about an hour.

Summit

The view extends far into the Valais, with the mighty Eiger South Face before us and the Grindelwald valley deep below. On the summit, we take our time, enjoy the tranquility, and have a snack from our backpacks. The mountain guide might share a few wild stories from the region.

General weather info

Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.

Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
