Key info
Overview
Straight to the point: Vertical ascent, narrow walkways, and ladders up to Allmenalp.
The Allmenalp Via Ferrata in Kandersteg follows a spectacular route through steep rock faces. Secured by a cable, you cross airy walkways, conquer an impressive rotating ladder, and can optionally take a 40-meter zip line. At the end, the mountain station of the Allmenalp cable car awaits - and at the small restaurant next door, we toast to a successful tour.
Itinerary
Meeting pointsWe meet in Kandersteg and check the equipment together.
After a short walk to the start of the via ferrata, we climb the rock face using metal rungs. After the Nepal bridge, we reach the most famous section of the Allmenalp Via Ferrata, the rotating ladder. A section that challenges and impresses us. We continue through exposed passages and airy traverses. Soon, we can choose between the 40-meter zip line for an extra adventure and the nearby Nepal bridge. The last meters lead us over another steep rock face until we finally reach the exit.
From the exit, it's only a few minutes to the mountain station of the Allmenalp cable car. Those who wish can stop at the small restaurant before taking the cable car back to Kandersteg or walking down the valley.

Weather info
General weather info
Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.
Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
