Itinerary
Meeting pointsMeet at 9:30 AM at the Outdoor Café & Shop in Grindelwald. You will get your boots, helmet, and snowboard there. We will take a moment to adjust the equipment to suit you. Goofy or regular? You will try it out directly. Once everything fits, we will head to the Bodmi Arena together.
Just a few minutes away is the beginner area: flat, clear, with a magic carpet. It is the perfect place to get on the board and make your first gliding attempts – no pressure, but with a clear goal.
You start with the first glide on the heel edge. Then you will practice safe braking: first sliding to the valley station, then controlled with the edge. You will practice getting up, board handling, body rotation. If you fall, no problem. It happens. We will show you how to get up safely and why your board sometimes has a mind of its own. Today's goal: You can stand, glide, and brake independently and have developed a feel for the board and snow.
Brief debriefing: What went well? Where are the areas of improvement? How do you feel on the board? We will give you feedback, honest, direct, motivating.
Meeting point as agreed with the instructor. You are quicker to get ready, know the equipment, and feel more secure.
Same route, different stance: You now know what to pay attention to. Today the focus is on movement, not just control.
Today it is all about the edges: You will learn to ride on the toe edge and switch between heel and toe. Then we will practice first turns and connect them into a smooth line. Lift riding is also included: first magic carpet, then maybe T-bar lift. You will feel how your board responds when you use your body consciously. Goal: several connected turns, secure edge control, first sense of rhythm. If you are ready, we will test an easy blue slope together.
Brief evaluation: How did the board feel today? Where do you need more confidence? We will tell you openly if you are ready for more terrain tomorrow or if we need to work on technique.
Meeting point as agreed with the instructor. Today we decide together: Do we stay in the arena or move to the First ski area? Both are possible, depending on your progress.
Depending on the terrain, we will either return to the arena or head up to the First area. More space, more slope, more possibilities.
Today it is about clean edge pressure, stable turns, and independent line choice. You are almost riding smoothly now, and the goal is to maintain this flow, even on slight slopes. We also practice how to consciously slow down, master transitions, or slide controlled if needed. Depending on your level, you will try the first direction change with a slightly parallel board stance.
Finally, you will receive honest feedback: What can you do, what is next, how can you continue? You will not leave as a "tourist", you have learned something. You can ride independently. And you know how to keep improving.

Weather info
General weather info
Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.
Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
