Private Telemark Lessons
Season:
Key info
Overview
If you want to feel the turns instead of just riding them, Telemark is the way to go.
Telemark feels different. As you learn to use your ski in a new way and steer more directly. We show you how to learn or refine the technique from the ground up. At your pace and level, with clear and personalized feedback. Whether it is your first turns or skiing with extreme angles: we coach you through every section.
Itinerary
Meeting pointsWe meet at the agreed location: usually at First, Männlichen, or Kleine Scheidegg, depending on the area. For full-day courses, we can also pick you up at the hotel upon arrangement.
We head to the agreed upon ski area together. The choice depends on your skiing ability and the weather.
We start with warming up, a gear check, and the first exercises. We build the techniques step by step. You receive continuous feedback, and if needed, we use video analysis.
Depending on your level, we focus on different aspects. Here are some examples and what they involve:
First Steps (Beginners)
- Telemark Stance: The typical lunge with offset. You learn to maintain balance, distribute pressure evenly, and navigate the turn stably.
- Controlled Turns: No skidding, no hopping. We work on clear edge changes and controlled radius in flat terrain.
- Safety: Proper behavior on the slopes, stability in rough terrain, techniques to protect your knees.
Strengthening Technique (Advanced)
- Short Turns with Lunge: Quick rhythm changes in steeper terrain. You need good timing, active pole use, and precise leg work.
- Carved Telemark Turns: Set the edge, build pressure, stabilize stance. The ski draws the line, you stay low.
- Advanced Positions: Work on a clean center of gravity, low stance, and maximum control at high angles.
At the end, you receive personal feedback, tips for practicing on your own, and recommendations for next steps.

Weather info
General weather info
Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.
Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
