Itinerary
Meeting pointsOur tour starts in Zermatt. After a brief introduction, we head to the gondola station at the back of the village. The ride to the Klein Matterhorn (3,817 m above sea level) is an experience in itself: glaciers below us, a majestic mountain scene ahead. Once at the top, we're surrounded by the region's 4000-meter peaks. We put on our crampons, secure our climbing harness, and enter the glacier world.
The path initially leads across the flat Breithorn plateau, where we acclimatize to the altitude. After about 30 minutes, the actual ascent to the summit ridge begins. The snow crunches under our crampons, the air gets thinner. Slowly, we take one step after another. Every breath is noticeable, but the view of the surrounding mountains makes up for every effort.
We've made it: we stand on the Breithorn at 4,164 m above sea level. The view stretches from Monte Rosa to Dent Blanche, with surrounding peaks seemingly within reach. We enjoy the silence and take a well-deserved break.
The descent follows the same route: controlled and at a leisurely pace. Back at the Klein Matterhorn, we remove our crampons and reflect on the experience. The gondola finally takes us back down to Zermatt, where we congratulate each other on the successful climb.

General weather info
Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.
Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
