Arrival

Our adventure begins in Grindelwald. We take the gondola up to the Eigergletscher station, where we catch our first glimpse of our destination.

Ascent
3 hrs

After a short descent, we cross impressively beneath the Eigergletscher. The path becomes increasingly steep and rocky. Step by step, we gain altitude, climbing over some rock steps and feeling the wilderness around us intensify. The final meters require concentration, but then we stand before the Guggihütte.

Guggihütte

A spectacular spot in the heart of the mountains. We enjoy a break and prepare a simple lunch with the mountain guide. As we recharge, we listen to the unique history of this hut.

Descent
2 - 3 hrs

The return path leads us again below the Eigergletscher and further to the Wengernalp, from where we take the train back to the valley.
