Overview
A challenging ascent with exposed climbing and a summit offering breathtaking views.
This tour takes you over the West Ridge to the Mönch. Challenging climbing sections, exposed areas, and an impressive summit experience await you.
Itinerary
Meeting pointsMeeting point is at Jungfraujoch. We exit through the Aletsch exit, where we put on crampons and rope up.
After crossing the glacier, the climbing begins: A steep corner leads to the West Ridge. From here, we continue upwards, sometimes over rocky outcrops, sometimes over narrow snow passages. The view of the northwest face is impressive. The final section leads over a steep snowfield that flattens towards the summit.
At 4,107 meters above sea level, a panorama of the Eiger, Jungfrau, and the entire Bernese Alps unfolds.
After a break at the summit, we descend via the southeast ridge to the Mönchsjoch Hut, then back to Jungfraujoch.

General weather info
Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.
Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
